 Ritorna il tradizionale appuntamento con la Polentata Solidale dell'Associazione Ritmi Africani Onlus. Si terrà sabato 4 febbraio alle 20.30 alla Casa del Quartiere (Bagni Municipali) di Via Morgari 14 a Torino.
Il menu prevede: antipasti, polenta con salsiccia e concia, dolce, acqua, un quarto di vino a testa. E' richiesta un'offerta minima di 20 Euro. Durante la serata presenteremo i nostri progetti in Senegal e vi sarà l'esposizione di artigianato senegalese.
Il ricavato dell'iniziativa è destinato ai due principali progetti che ci vedranno impegnati per i prossimi sei mesi: la costruzione e l'equipaggiamento del reparto maternità a Diourou e la costruzione del foyer per i giovani di Diakine.
Vi aspettiamo numerosi! E' obbligatoria la prenotazione entro e non oltre il 2 febbraio e, su richiesta, vi è la possibilità di attivare uno spazio per i bimbi.

Corso di formazione per nuovi volontari |

 Sabato 11 e domenica 12 febbraio terremo a Milano un corso di formazione per nuovi volontari, rivolto a chi desidera conoscere maggiormente Ritmi Africani e divertarne parte attiva. Un week-end per informarsi sulle tante attività in corso in Senegal e in Italia, discutere dei principi che le animano e conoscere meglio le realtà sociali in cui operiamo.
Il corso è gratuito e non servono capacità particolari, è sufficiente avere voglia di impegnarsi concretamente! Per partecipare è però necessario condividere una visione del volontariato che non si limiti all'assistenzialismo e i principi alla base del nostro operato (auto-organizzazione delle comunità locali e non violenza). Tutti i nostri progetti, infatti, sono portati avanti e gestiti in ogni loro fase dai volontari senegalesi e dalle comunità locali, che ne sono i veri protagonisti.
Il corso è una condizione necessaria per prendere parte alle attività di Ritmi Africani, sia in Italia che in Senegal.

DESK CALENDAR A5 format - 2 sided printed. This year RITMI AFRICANI’s calendar is dedicated to the African women main actresses in the daily life and often at the core of brave actions.
For every month there’s a very beautiful picture took in Senegal from our volunteers and on the back side you can find the biography of an important African woman.
A minimum offer of 6€ is requested for each copy. The money raised from the sale will be assigned to the construction of a maternity ward for mothers and kid’s medical cares in the village of Diourou, Casamance.
We send the calendar all over Italy and we distribute it also in the Netherlands.

Where: Kadiamor, a neighbourhood of Bignona, Casamance
We are supporting the women of Kadiamor in buying an engine-driven mill for millet and rice processing. The project foresees the construction of a storage area, training for a maintenance expert and for a group of ten women that will use the mill. The total cost is around 3600€. So far, the construction works are carried out and the training is on going. Once the training process will end up, the mill will be bought. Kadiamor village is actively participating also in collecting money. The project has the aim of supporting the women in their activities.
Part of the money raised with selling of the mill-products will put it towards the youth theatre group of Kadiamor that is working on important themes such as Malaria, AIDS and illegal emigration. |

Where: Diourou e Diakine (south Senegal - Casamance). The two villages have around 1000 and 3000 inahbitants and they are located 20km far from one the biggest city, Bignona. Therefore, villagers have to afford a long displacement to be cured and it's difficult to deal with medical - urgency or childbearing cases.
Here, the only source of income is the agricoltur.
Activities: in 2006 the Senegalese government fund the building of a health care center located in Diourou. In the last two years, we've been providing all the medical equipment necessary to the execution of health care activities. |

Non si tratta di un campo di lavoro e neppure di una vacanza alternativa. Fare volontariato in Senegal con la nostra associazione non è un'esperienza estemporanea; i partecipanti, infatti, saranno impegnati in un percorso di formazione al volontariato e azione diretta sul campo il cui obiettivo è il coinvolgimento a lungo termine: l'esperienza del volontariato in Senegal, infatti, va inquadrata nell'impegno all'interno della nostra associazione, anche in Italia, prima e dopo la partenza.
I REQUISITI
Non è necessario avere competenze specifiche: ciò che conta è la motivazione, il desiderio di conoscere e di diventare protagonisti dei progetti proposti e ambire ad un impegno a lungo termine all'interno della nostra associazione. E' richiesta una conoscenza anche a livello base del francese, poiché permette di sviluppare un’interazione corretta con i volontari senegalesi e le comunità locali.

 In Senegal there isn't any form of free health care; medical performances and medicines have a really high price compares to the poverty level of the population. Often in rural villages the healthy frames are defintly missing. For this reason we can see many episodes of corruption and speculation's attempts made by both doctors and nurses.
For these reasons, our association is making every effort to guarantee the respect of the healthy's right and the open - door to cures and medecines.
We're involved in several projects as the setting-up of health facilities in rural villages, diseases prevention for malaria or AIDS or complaints to denunce corruption and speculation.
